One of Africa’s most pressing economic challenges is the increasing development gap between rural, peri-urban, and urban areas. A well-integrated and managed rural-urban development along with agricultural extension education can be pivotal in reducing rural poverty, improving food security, and creating opportunities for regional economic transformation. Specifically, we aim to provide empirical research in the following areas:

Refugee Resettlement and Livelihood Restoration
Rural-Urban Policy Development
Rural Development, Agricultural Extension and Education
Social, Economic, and Environmental Impact of Water Systems, including considerations of gender disparities in access and impact.
