Dr. Abdi Kusow is a sociologist and demographer with over 20 years of experience in applied research. He has done extensive research in population dynamics, the political economy of post-conflict, policy development, social cohesion and regional integration, survey design and methodology, applied quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, forced migration and refugees; international migration, livelihoods and quality of life studies; and East African Societies. He is one of the leading scholars on the social and political economy in the Esat African region. Dr. Kusow holds a BA in Sociology from Michigan State University, a Master of Urban Planning from the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning, the University of Michigan, and a Ph.D. in Sociology and Methodology from Wayne State University.
